Therapy is about changing how you feel - breaking out of unhelpful thinking patterns and emotional states, learning from the past and letting it go. Therapy invites a new future, with more enjoyment of life and being at peace with who and how you are.
Coaching uses the same techniques and mind tools, with the focus more on enhancing the way you live on a day-to-day basis. Coaching covers anything you can think of, including personal development such as confidence and assertiveness, improving communication in all types of relationships, overcoming learning challenges and achieving goals.

What does it cost?With a desire to be more affordable for more people, Sylvia has reduced her standard fee:
Standard 1 hour session: $60 (was $90)
How many sessions you might want or need is one of those questions like 'how long is a piece of string?'; there are too many factors to consider to make an accurate prediction. Sylvia's goal is always that you walk out of the session feeling better and more in charge of your situation than when you walked in.
Registered supplier for WINZ - Ask your doctor to include sessions on your existing or new Disability Allowance under the heading 'Alternative therapies'.

Registered Mental Health Provider for the Te Tai Tokerau Primary Health Organisation (TTTPHO). Ask your doctor whether you meet the criteria for funded sessions, and ask her/him to refer you.
